Kindergarten students made spider hats with a black balloon abdomen, cephlothorax, eight legs, and lots of eyes at a center. We learned most spiders have eight eyes! At the end of our unit about spiders we made spider shaped bread, and had a spider party at lunch time. That's a mom visiting for lunch. She didn't know she'd be eating with spiders. We even had spider web tablecloths.
