The Dual Language Program had an end of the year fiesta for both schools. Parents taught our Hawthorne first graders the dances from Jalisco Mexico and Peru. They did a great job.

Michelle and Luis danced Jarabe Tapatillo for the Last Day Assembly also. They brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful. My kindergarten students performed the Octopus song, and the first graders got the whole school involved in the "Birthday Song." "Birthdays, birthdays, they're such fun. Stand up when I say the month your birthday comes."

Schools out! I'm cleaning up my room today, and leaving for Balboa tomorrow.
