Ready for school to start! I started back to work on Aug 9 with four days of workshops. I spent the next week preparing my classroom. Then there was another week of meetings and workshops. School started Aug. 30. I have 28 first graders and 27 kindergarteners.

First grade is studying ants with live ants in the ant farm. Kindergarten had their first full day Friday. They are very cute. One little girl had her head down on the table. I asked her what was wrong. She told me in Spanish, that her language buddy talks too much, and she can't understand English!

I was very tired afterwards! My toe has healed, but I need to get my energy back. I haven't walked for 6 weeks.
