I went birding with Marilyn and Cathy Saturday morning. Lisa Hill was out painting her fence and decided to join us. It was a good thing because she knows the birds that live in the park and their calls. She heard a Luzuli Bunting, and I found it. We saw it from the front. It has a blue head and white breast with a orange stripe. Amazing. We saw Yellow-breasted Chats, Black-hooded Grosbeaks, a Bullock's Oriole, Red-tailed Hawks, Swainson's Hawk, and a scorpion. We watched Black-chinned humming birds at her feeders after the walk. These are pictures Lisa's husband, Larry Umthun has taken and posted on LC Birds.
