Spring Break

We spent the first two days of Spring Break at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. We're relieved that Pedro's CT scan and endoscopy showed no signs of cancer returning! They removed some calcified suture ends from his stomach, with no side effects. They suggested surgery to remove his scar and redo it because of the discomfort he is still having. He is also starting digestive enzymes because what's left of his pancreas isn't making enough. That could be causing his tiredness and muscle weakness. We're grateful the cancer is gone.

We picked up Angel, Jordan, and Tatyana at their house Tuesday afternoon and brought them home. They are 13, 12, and 8 years old. They have been well behaved, grateful, happy, and fun. We've visited two skateboard parks several times. I've learned some new vocabulary like deck, grind, and 360, but mostly I don't know what they are talking about. We've been kite flying, birding, and geocaching. We've watched lots of movies, and we went to the theater to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" in 3D. Wow! It was amazing!

We've played lots of games too: Uno, Rummikub, and Apples to Apples.

The grandkids love my cooking! Pancakes, grilled cheese, spaghetti, homemade pizza, fish fillets, broccoli, and french fries, were on the menu this week. Tatyana's been my assistant.

And tonight, Pedro suprised Jordan with an electric guitar!

This was a fun week.
